airberlin now offers flights to to Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney
airberlin is strengthening its strategic partnership with Etihad Airways and now offers codeshare flights to Australia. airberlin operates flights on a daily basis from Berlin and Dusseldorf to Abu Dhabi. From there passengers on airberlin flights can connect with flights operated by Etihad Airways to Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
Hamilton Island Launches its Premium Palm Bungalows
Hamilton Island has opened the first phase of its newly refurbished Premium Palm Bungalows, providing a luxurious yet affordable romantic or family getaway.
Currently undergoing a $4 million refurbishment, the Premium Palm Bungalows offers guests the option of a little more luxury whilst retaining the relaxed simplicity of a ‘back to nature’ private retreat.
Thirty per cent of the Palm Bungalows have been refurbished and are now available to guests as ‘Premium Palm Bungalows’ with 60 per cent to be completed by the spring and the remainder in 2013.
Located footsteps from Catseye Beach and the Marina, each free-standing bungalow includes its own fully furnished private balcony with a hammock surrounded by beautifully landscaped tropical gardens. Guests have access to the main resort pool overlooking the ocean, complete with a swim-up bar and complimentary use of non-motorised water sports.

Visitors will ‘SCOOT’ to Gold Coast direct from Singapore
The Gold Coast’s $4.5 billion tourism industry has continued its positive momentum in 2012 with confirmation today that Scoot Airlines will fly five times a week from Singapore to the Gold Coast.
The announcement comes after months of collaboration between the new Singapore based airline and a cross-agency consortium of Gold Coast Tourism, Gold Coast Airport, Queensland Government, and Tourism Australia bosses.
Sunshine Coast Airport goes international
Sunshine Coast Airport is welcoming new Air New Zealand flights to and from Auckland, commencing in July 2012. Two Auckland flights a week will start on a seasonal trial, connecting with scheduled flights to Los Angeles, San Francisco and other northern U.S cities. The flights mark the first-ever international scheduled passenger flights for the airport.
